A LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL – LATET TIKVA HANUKKA CAMP

LatetTikva volunteers are currently noting the huge success of the Hanukka camp held in Eilat for children hospitalized in the children’s wards throughout Israel, including children with cancer, on dialysis, with diabetes, and more.
The camp was loaded with fun activities and experiences for the kids. On Sunday, 28 December, the children set out for camp accompanied by a qualified nurse from Kaplan Hospital, Rehovot, and our devoted volunteers who made sure the children would have a great time.
Activities included the Air Force Museum at Hatzerim, Kibbutz Yotvata, the underwater observation point, the dolphin reef, pedal boats, kayaks and more.
On the first evening, all gathered for the Hanukka lighting ceremony conducted by a Chabbad representative from Eilat.
The children returned happily tired and extremely pleased, filled with hope for better, happier days ahead.
The camp let its participating children forget their pain and suffering, and instead be fully immersed in fun and joy. Our thanks to all who assisted, to the generous contributors who helped us shed some light on these children’s lives during the festival of lights. Our thanks also to our amazing volunteers who give of their time to ensure the camp’s success.
Thank you!
